Echoes of a walk

I began this piece during @antara.artist ’s Getting Loose class at @arton30th , where we were encouraged to paint five random but meaningful things from our lives. I later continued working on it in @shellys_artful_minds β€˜ class.

What emerged was this dreamlike reflection: our walks with Benjamin, who always glances back to find my husband, and the two little rascalsβ€”Marcelo and Snoopieβ€”who stay home but are never far from our thoughts.

The two figures in red both represent my husbandβ€”one looking back, one moving forwardβ€”symbolizing memory and direction, past and future. Sometimes, a reflection.
What started as a simple exercise became something deeply personal.
