Night’s Passage

Leaving the shore behind, we climbed the wooden stairs—
the sea at our backs, hush of waves in the dark.
A quiet return from Pismo Beach,
where time slowed,
and memory lingered like salt in the air.

This painting holds that fleeting moment.

I created this piece during Shelly Chess’ painting class at Arton30th.
